Complaints Policy

1. Introduction
At Bennett Balanta Law (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we are committed to providing high-quality legal services to all our clients. If something goes wrong, we need you to tell us about it. This will help us to improve our standards. We aim to handle complaints promptly, fairly, and free of charge.
2. How to Make a Complaint

3. What Will Happen Next
Acknowledgment: We will send you a letter acknowledging receipt of your complaint within 3 business days of receiving it, enclosing a copy of this policy.
Investigation: We will then investigate your complaint. This will normally involve passing your complaint to our [Complaints Partner/Manager], who will review your matter file and speak to the member of staff who acted for you.
Response: Within [14] days of sending you the acknowledgment letter, we will send you a detailed written reply to your complaint, including suggestions for resolving the matter.
Further Steps: If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact us again. We will then arrange for another partner to review the decision. We will write to you within [14] days of receiving your request for a review, confirming our final position on your complaint and explaining our reasons.
4. PA Disciplinary Board
If you are still not satisfied, you can then contact the Legal Ombudsman. Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint.

5. Alternative Dispute Resolution
Alternative complaints bodies such as American Arbitration Association] exist which are competent to deal with complaints about legal services should both you and our firm wish to use such a scheme.
6. Confidentiality
All complaints will be handled with the utmost confidentiality and in accordance with our privacy policy.
7. Record Keeping
We will keep a record of your complaint and the outcome for [six] years from the conclusion of the complaint process.
